I was born during WW two and I have never seen any of those clothing items, either on a woman or in a store. In what rural enclaves are these found?

One of the photos looks like she had a fanny pack slung over her shoulder, as if it was a crossbody purse. I think it's fine to do this because these people are out and about. None of these women are dressed that differently. You're right, no leggings and no PJ looking clothes like some Americans do here. I didn't see tattoos, baggy shirts, or USA wear (thank god) when I was in Europe. You're right, most people who you see in Europe, out and about, don't look like Americans do when they are out. When I was in France, I noticed many, many people are out walking, so there are not many obese people. If you did see obese people, there were usually Americans. However, many people smoke in France, which was surprising to me. It's always good to visit other countries to see how people are, other than here. So many people don't realize how wonderful that is.

So nice to meet you, I am thrilled to have found your UA-cam channel!! I am 65 and recently fully retired so now I have time to focus on myself. I have lost weight and have had the lower facelift I have wanted for a very long time. Now I want to focus on my wardrobe. I have always loved clothes and thought I was stylish but I now find that I don’t trust myself to know what is appropriate for me at my age while remaining stylish. Due to our mid sized town loosing stores I must travel an hour or two to shop (but don’t mind😊). I also shop online. I forgot to mention that I am petite (5’0”)

I sop Talbots, Chicos and JJill for clothes that are well made and fit my plump body.

My biggest issue with pants is the high waist pants. I personally to not care for them. They accent your stomach and upper areas and they are very uncomfortable for me. They need to have more mid-rise, please bring back mid-rise, they are very hard to find nowadays.

Thank you for the Khaki pants point. I’ve spent over 60 years wondering why khaki pants looked horrible on me. Preppy was big when I was in college, and I kept trying to make khaki pants work, but they just don’t! Especially on people with curves.

In my opinion, cropped pants of any kind are a scourge on woman kind. I know what looks good on me, the challenge is to find it!

I hate shopping for clothes! I'm 70, 5'2" with short legs. I've been dealing with medical issues for the last 30 yrs. One of the medicines is prednisone which not only puts on weight but shifts it to the abdomen and back of the neck. I gained 50 pounds in 6 months from it. I have breathing issues so it's very difficult to work out or even walk very far to tone up. So I look like a barrel with relatively thin legs sticking out the bottom. So for pants to fit my waist, they are baggy in the leg. I need supportive shoes as I have had a knee and hip replaced and spinal fusion. Also, my one foot is always swollen and the other is a good half to full size smaller so if I wear a little cute pump, one shoe flops off all the time. I have recently been trying to diet and lost 25 pounds. Now everything looks awful on me. I cannot afford these stores you're talking about. I've looked at Talbots. One blouse is almost $100.! It's also exhausting to go to stores and gets me out of breath. Trying to shop online is terrible. They always picture the clothes on skinny models. When I put it on, I look dumpy. Also, why do they make plus size clothes look so awful? I have good taste in clothes and used to look very sharp, but it seems impossible anymore. Sorry to be such a downer, but this is my reality.

When it comes to bathing suits, and u know this is true, we can’t feel cute and confident in something that we are totally self-conscious wearing. So if others think we are just trying to hide our bodies (my body) they are 100% totally right! Love your videos though.

Again, new to this wonderful channel and catching up on videos. So at the risk of answering the question a little late, I am decidedly a classic, minimal rule follower who likes to match and is extremely focused. However, I love people who are comfortable in other styles and appreciate the creativity. Understanding and embracing your personal style is a great gift to give yourself. It becomes the way you see and present the world.

May i suggest chiffon in a small print that is pretty on you??

Wear whatever you like at any age and wear it with confidence. But please put some effort into looking nice. It makes you feel good too, and others treat you with more respect. Those are facts.

So true !! I go shopping and all I see is clothes that make you look frumpy… and yes I can’t stand when people say “wear what you want, shouldn’t care what people think” may be true for some people, but you’re representing yourself. How you look is what you attract!!

I am 54. I realized capris were doing me NO favors ten years ago! Some people wear them well, lately with the wider leg and a cute flat or sandal--but not me.😂 A major one for our age group is, loose top with a snugger bottom and vice versa. Thanks for the tips.

As a petite woman I’ve always been frustrated by all the stretchy pants and decal /embroidered tops …that my 80 year old grandmother liked when I was 25. Now that I’m 50+, it hasn’t changed. Thanks for the other tips too.

I just cleaned out my closet….two large bags full going to donate. And ordered a pair of Everlane miracle pants to try out. I work in IT and sit at a computer all day, I have to be comfortable in the waist. Thanks for the common sense, great advice! :)

I am 10 years older than you and I still wear my hair long. It's salt and pepper grey, but I do it anyway. I wear and look how I feel. I am petite and olive skinned similar to you. I think we should all be ourselves. I really like your content and philosophy. Thank you for what you do.

You do have to be careful with the lash and brow growth serums. They can cause dermatitis and other health issues. I used to use them all the time. Now that I am in my 60s, I had a reaction to the serum in the skin around my eyes. I miss full lashes, but I don't want dermatitis and inflamed skin, so I no longer use them.

Of Course u can wear any damn thing u want. That does NOT mean u look ok. All this nonsense,…oh, wear what YOU like, feel comfortable in. We ALL know we laugh and roll our eyes at women age 50 and still shop at Forever 21. Most women look for advice. Please stop the virtue signaling. It’s SO obvious.

Nada, it's true that you won't see those styles on the younger women because the majority of them are running around town in athletic wear. I do agree with you that the styles you gave as examples, are out of style.
